What's that Azure Light?
What's that Azure Light? Creativity, a etheramal puzzle, a delicate art where people are drawn to discovering each piece. A procedure follows that discovery and it usually takes a few moments to fly the puzzle piece in your hands to the perfect place. Hands crippled in quivering excitement, moments pressed to death as I dangled from a cliff, the lifeline was a scientifically tested rope, said to be able to hold two tons of metal. It felt like it could hardly hold two pounds.

Baby's Night Out. Top Story - September 2023. Content Warning.
**This story contains a mention of pregnancy and childbirth.** I just dropped my kid off at something called ‘Parent’s Night Out,' hosted by our Karate dojo. My husband is with his friends at their annual all day game we affectionately refer to as ‘all gay dame.’ So I have the night to myself. It occurred to me that I could use a clever title for my little solo excursion. My buddy Malinda offered ‘baby’s night out’ and I think that fits. It implies wandering in a childlike state of exploration for the simple pleasures in life. A rare treat for a mama with a nine to five and a husband who works most nights and weekends.

Jumbled Thoughts
I stare at the screen wondering what to write. A lot I have written has been raw and painful, but real. I never really have an initial direction for my pieces. All of this is just to find some sort of silence within me. The chaos I am surrounded by has been all-consuming and endless. Even in the nights that are supposed to be quiet, I greet the horrible thoughts like an old friend.
