Events Arranged To Mark Pregnancy And Infant Loss Awareness Month
Around one in two hundred and fifty pregnancies in the UK ends in a stillbirth. That equates to about eight babies every day. Those are the shocking statistics that come from the UK's largest charity who specialise in the researching of the causes and preventions of pregnancy complications, miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. Following it's creation in 1992 at St Thomas's Hospital in London by two obstetricians, Tommy's Charity began a campaign to help raise funds to enable more pregnancy research projects.

Spain Win Women's World Cup Title
England narrowly missed out on the chance of being crowned world champions as they were narrowly beaten in the final of the Women's World Cup. In what was seen as a golden opportunity to win some silverware, the Lionesses were beaten 1-0 by Spain at the final which took place at Stadium Australia or the Accor Stadium in Sydney. It was an extremely tensely contested match which was played in front of a sell out crowd. It was widely being anticipated as England's chance to win their first piece of major silverware since the men's team won the World cup in 1966.

Lionesses Reach Women's World Cup Final
England are through to the final of the 2023 Women's World Cup. The Lioness's knocked co-hosts Australia out after beating them 3-1 at Stadium Australia in Sydney. This means that they have reached their first World Cup Final and have the chance to lift a major piece of silverware for their country, something which hasn't been done since 1966 when the man's side beat West Germany in the final to lift the trophy. Winchester Goalball Club which was established by Paralympian Adam Knott specialises in finding ways to help incorporate the blind and partially sighted community make their way in the sporting world.
