While Riding Into Town With My Hubby
It was the First Friday Art Walk in the neighboring town. I love it! This month it was the perfect place to find the right gifts for the right people on my Christmas list. Hubby was going in with me as he needed a new heating pad for his tennis elbow.

Writing Down the Bones Deck
This is my wish for you: that you take these cards, grab the topic on one side and write, write, write. Then flip to the other side of the card and take note. The Day the Deer Ran Wild
Today, I finish NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month, the challenge of writing 50,000 words in one month. This week, I received notice that I was awarded a $4,000 grant to write a book. The book will include interviews with everyday elders to talk about life yesterday and today.

The Big C
In 2013, I was treated with chemotherapy for the non-Hodgkins lymphoma I had. I say had because so far it has not come back. The cancer, I was told is the kind that is treatable, probably not curable. The last PET scan I had was in 2013, and I was cancer-free.
