Galiena Eldingar's Backstory
I’ve always been a bit of a troublemaker—well, I guess that's kind of a lie. We're off to a great start. I’ve always been a troublemaker, terrible as troublemakers come, and such has been my reputation throughout my life. My family never really appreciated the sort of lifestyle I was always in pursuit of as a little girl, so naturally, I made their lives harder. It was no fault of my own they were miserable, they simply refused to give in to my antics. All I wanted was no rules—I wanted free reign, bliss, whatever you want to call it. I broke things, I threw tantrums, but my parents always knew just what punishments set my teeth on edge. Of course, nothing kept me from misbehaving, but at the very least, their Hail Mary attempts to control my outrageous tendencies slowed me down.

Loranala Iathrana's Backstory
I was found as a babe in the deep wood by a river’s edge. Frail and cold, I was taken in by a widow named Alessandra Iathrana. Out of the goodness of her heart, Alessandra raised me on a small farm just miles from the river where I was quite fortunately discovered—the wood through which the river ran was said to be the home of ferocious monsters and vicious creatures of the deep. Alessandra was careful to keep me hidden from such a mysterious place as I grew, despite my begging her to let me explore its wonders.

Bulbous Eyes
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. Emily dumped crushed up beer cans into a garbage bag as she tidied up. Everyone else was asleep, the smell of smoke and liquor hanging in the air of the old cabin like drunken wishes and empty promises.

Steak Sliders Anyone? No, I'm Not Talking About Any Old Run-of-the-Mill Burger
It was a lovely day. The wedding was over three years in the making thanks to Covid-19, so everyone in attendance was ecstatic to see the greatly anticipated day go so smoothly.

Vayda
It was spring, the time of new birth and relentless rain, when Vayda took her first, full breath. She felt the dusty air of the stagnant lab circulate through her nostrils toward her empty lungs and she felt her chest expand. It was an unknown feeling that her body had never experienced before: breathing. There was never a need to breathe under the care of her Mechanical Opulence Maker, or MOM. During the early stages of her life, the machines did all of her living and breathing for her. Now, during this crucial phase, she either had to take over herself, or die.
