Cosplayer Interview: Byakuya Shinriku
In the world of cosplay, us cosplayers attend conventions every year and meet people. We get to know more about them and eventually form friendships. In the four years I've been a cosplayer, having that bond with some of the most amazing friends has been remarkable. Cosplay brings people together and allows us to freely express ourselves. I recently had the pleasure of interviewing yet another Power Rangers Facebook group admin. His name is Byakuya Shinriku and I'm proud to call him a friend and also, like a brother to me. It was great to know so much about him and I hope everyone enjoys this interview.

Cosplayer Spotlight: Batsu Cosplay
It's time for another cosplayer interview and recently, I got the chance to interview Batsu Cosplay and got to know more about him. Just a reminder that at the end of every one of my articles, if you want to support me and love reading them, feel free to send me a small one-off tip of any amount, if you'd like. With that said, I hope you enjoy this interview.

Cosplayer Spotlight: SLC Green Arrow
Texx-Man Cosplay: How long have you been a cosplayer and how did it change your life? SLC Green Arrow: Well, I’ve been cosplaying classic Ollie since September of 2016, but growing up in San Diego, we would go to SDCC every summer and dress up every day. It wasn’t really cosplay back then, just something you did for Comic Con.

My Return to Cosplay
I'm here to give everyone an update of what's been going on with me. One of the first articles I'd written on Vocal was my battle with depression and anxiety. Back in May was Mental Health Awareness Month and I was sharing my story of the traumatic events, past and present, I've experienced that led me to have a mental breakdown. After that occurred, I became homeless and felt worthless. It felt like my life was over at that point and like I had no future. So with that said, I'm writing this article to give everyone an update of how things are currently going with me.

Cosplayer Spotlight: Nathan Mobley
What are some things you can tell me about yourself? Well, I love good food and long romantic boat rides! Just kidding! (Actually go ahead and add that!). I'm a huge nerd and an avid gamer. I'm also a proud parent of a demon toddler (kidding!), a practiced martial artist of almost 20 years, and a die hard wrestling fan! Oh, and I guess I should also say I'm a happily devoted husband.

Cosplayer Spotlight: Kyle Herron
Texxx-Man Cosplay: How long have you been doing cosplay and how did it change your life? Kyle Herron: September will be my one year anniversary since I started to cosplay. Before this, I was in a deep depression and didn’t want to do anything. I had a small group of friends that I hang and spend time with, but even though I loved them, it was a struggle for me to go visit them. Now, I have a large group of friends and I’m not nearly as depressed as I used to be. I take better care of myself. I’m excited to go do things. All in all, cosplay has made me a better person.

3 Advantages of Being a Nerd
At the age of two, I discovered my father's NES and played my first game, Super Mario Bros. When I was five-years-old, I became more interested in nerdy things, for example, watching tv shows like Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and also having plenty of toys and trading cards. So basically, I was the nerdy one in my family. I had that personality as a kid and now as an adult. I'm going to share with you three advantages of being a nerd and show everyone that there's nothing wrong with liking certain things.

Cosplayer Spotlight: Shania Durst-Deller
Would you mind telling me a little bit about yourself and how you got into cosplay? Shania: Well, I'm a 25-year-old nursing student here in Benton. I got into cosplay with my husband. We have been married for almost four months; been together for four years. I fought three years of breast cancer and fought losing our first baby. I'm a strong-hearted woman. I've always loved the idea to be different. It's good to be different.

Cosplayer Spotlight: Eric Lenhardt
What excites me as a cosplayer is other cosplayers being creative and coming with the most outstanding cosplays. I regularly leave comments on their photos and share those pictures on social media. Another cosplayer that I had an opportunity to interview recently was Eric Lenhardt. He may be in his 40s, but don't take his appearance and creative side for granted. I see his cosplays on a regular basis on Facebook and Instagram. He has the best ideas and is willing to cosplay as pretty much anybody. So sit back and enjoy this interview.

Cosplayer Spotlight: Matthew Warnock
For the last several weeks, I've interviewed so many great cosplayers and got to know more about them. San Diego Comic Con starts later on this week and I always see potential in all cosplayers. Why, you ask? Because it's great to see them doing amazing things for others. Recently, I got a chance to interview one of my cosplay friends, Matthew Warnock, who I have met at GlitchCon last year and again last November at The Cosplay Con & Anime Experience in North Little Rock, Arkansas. With that being said, I hope you enjoy my interview with him.
