13 Ghosts is a mediocre little entry in the cult-classic oeuvre directed by William Castle, a sort of third-rung Alfred Hitchcock who made the selling of gimmick pictures his raison d’être. Castle didn’t just make movies—he made events, most of them barely qualifying as cinema.

Dracula in Instanbul
Not a turkey but from Turkey. Snappy title, no? Dracula in Istanbul is a 1953 Turkish production that is stark, grainy, lost, and has that air of being more a museum piece curiosity than an actual piece geared toward entertainment. But, alas, it's not a bad picture, if a dated one.

Tank Girl is a rip-snorting, bald, badass beeyotch who rides around in a mini-tank across the vaguely post-apocalyptic, Mad Max Aussie outback, having surrealistic and hyperviolent adventures while being dirty, messy, foul-mouthed, and very drunk. Wielding serrated knives, huge guns, convenient small artillery, and tits that explode into missiles, she chain-smokes over a crooked little grin, leaning hard into her exuberant comic-book stupidity — a hardcore, foul-mouthed feminist parody of woman-warrior tropes. She's brutal, beautiful, and totally bad.

Dracula, Sovereign of the Damned is an anime from Toei Studios, dating from 1980, based on Marvel's Tomb of Dracula comic. Marvel's Dracula once tried to kidnap Storm until Kitty Pryde showed up and drove his blood-sucking butt out the window wielding the Star of David. Apparently, Dracula is anti-Zionist.
