Must I Grovel Before My Co-Workers Take Care Of Their Shit?
Yesterday I asked my co-worker how our office toilet flushing system worked. He stared at me in confusion, but I made him show me. I had to be sure of the system everyone else was using. I had to know if I had accidentally discovered an easier means. A Eureka! moment.

I Landed My Dream Job as a Case Manager for the Homeless. And Then 8 Months Later I Quit.
The Beginning I have had a heart for the unnoticed and underserved for as long as I can remember. When I was young, my best friend and I used to sell Girl Scout cookies door to door (we lived in a small town, and this was years before this kind of activity was frowned upon.) Along our route, we’d identify older people who seemed lonely, and then each holiday, we’d make each of them a card and slip the card into their mailboxes.

Why Using .Xref Is a Must
This piece is dedicated to all the designers who have to work with different areas and even companies on the same project. It does sound intense, huh? But it can be really easy if you know some tricks and have some under your sleeve. Here, I share with you a really important one!

I fell in love with my FWB…
It’s the way he made me feel, the way he made me laugh… but mostly, the way it brought back my passion for trying new things and the sense of adventure. I felt dead inside, no motivation, no emotions. He was the best thing that happened to me but also the worse thing. It wasn’t supposed to happen this way… I wasn’t supposed to fall in love. What happened?!

Unexpected Service
July, 2018, at Horn Creek Colorado. My fourth of five years at YXL, a Presbyterian youth leadership camp. YXL is sponsored by churches of the PCA from across the United States; the students, counselors, and staff are also from across the states. The goal of YXL is to teach students about the doctrines of their faith, their own personalities and capabilities to lead, and how to interact and work with others as is best suited to them. YXL is also meant to be an exhausting experience. The hope is that it may push them far enough to find themselves at their worst and learn how to interact with others well even from that point.

Intolerance and Indifference in the online workplace
Everyone knows about online bullying and people saying things from behind the computer screen that they would not utter if face to face. Most people have experienced or seen other employees treated unfairly in a physical workplace but not everyone may be aware of intolerance and indifference in an online employment setting but I just experienced it. I took a job where I was paid for every article I wrote as opposed to being paid per views. I was required to join a group Skype chat where about 10 or 12 fellow writers posted on a daily basis.

Corporatitis
So, the unthinkable happened. After five long years of hard work, I was let go from my job. Fired. Terminated. Whatever word or phrase you use, the ending is the same. I suddenly found myself jobless on a Wednesday afternoon. I had been anticipating this outcome; I submitted a few applications to new places here and there but I didn't look seriously because I thought "Surely they wouldn't really fire me, right?" "Years of hard work and loyalty and excellent quality would protect me, right?"
