My Journey to "Writer": Part 1
Chocolate taster. Veterinarian. World traveler. Communication auditor. These were just a few of my "dream" careers growing up and even into college. Now don't get me wrong, I would die to be a world traveler who samples chocolates for a living, but I've settled in nicely to my life as a writer. It's certainly not as whimsical, but it suits me perfectly.

Finding My "Home" in the Career World

I am a fiend for everything hygge, so in my home, you'll find fuzzy blankets, warm whites, creams, and greys, soft textures, candles, Rifle Paper Co. notebooks, and warm wood tones. And as a writer, I have books, journals, pens and pencils, and even a few typewriters sitting around.

I Quit
Every Thursday afternoon at 3:15 pm, I write out my resignation. Week after week, it’s the same battles with the same people. The same unmet expectations of them all. The unmet expectations of myself. Despite feeling as if my body and mind are deteriorating with every passing moment, I show up and try my best every day. But I’ve come to discover that my best simply isn’t enough.
