Double Quarter Pounder, Plain
Everyone has that one food that they crave in a ganja fog. The desire to run to McDonald's at 2 AM for a Double Quarter Pounder with cheese—plain—to silence your aching stomach and screaming brain is too much. It’s cold, really fucking cold. You pile on socks under the warm fuzzy moccasins mom got you for Hanukkah and the sweatshirt you basically never take off because it’s too cozy and covers your knuckles perfectly. Last to go on are the warm flannel pajama pants: you know, the ones with the pastel penguins skiing down your legs? Yeah, those. Tiptoeing through the house to the door where the keys hang is the easy part. You grab your ancient car keys, and turn the door knob. It squeaks just a bit and the fear of waking up your mom with barking dogs send a shiver throughout your slightly sweating body. You shimmy out the door, closing it ever so gently, then breathe a huge sigh of relief.

Best Southern Restaurant Chains
The South is one of those rare American regions that's known for having jawdroppingly amazing, super-mouthwatering food. Unfortunately, it's also known for having food that's so decadent, it'll kill you if you eat too much of it.

Barista Says He's Not Afraid of Starbucks
With Wittenberg University getting a second Starbucks location inside Thomas library, it’s set in stone that Springfield will have at least four of the coffee shops in town by this time next year. While this news may be exciting to fans of the company—especially to those college students who couldn’t get their Starbucks fix while away at school—it could mean death for small, local shops in the area.

London: Food from the High Street
Growing up, food in the UK was not one of our strong suits. The old foe from across the stream used to mock us for our poor range and diversity of edible nutrition, nicknaming us "Les Rosbif" after our supposed favourite and only dish of note, roast beef. In fact, even today, we are more known for fish and chips than anything else... But let's not get confused, London particularly is one the greatest places on earth for food. The diverse range from Japanese to Nigerian to US Soul Food is abundant. The Michelin Star guide ranks London the seventh best city for top ranked food marginally behind New York, Paris, and Japan (Japan has four cities within the top five!), and let's not forget that we have both Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver to our name... and who hasn't heard of those guys?

Pi Craft Pizza (Henrietta, NY) Review
Pizza is one of the most beautiful foods that has ever been created in the history of mankind. It is something that done poorly is generally speaking still edible however when done well it can make one feel as if they are dining on one of the finest things they have ever eaten. Pi Craft Pizza has found a way to put heaven in a box and serve it quickly.

My First Time At: Steak 'n Shake
Before I get too deep into this I would like to clarify: there are some places I have visited in my travels I will not review. The reasons for this will vary from "a review is not appropriate" to "I do not review large chains." This falls to the latter. The Steak 'n Shake restaurant is a fairly sizable chain with over 500 restaurants nation wide and is just getting larger. I recently had the opportunity of going to a Steak 'n Shake for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised.

Restaurant Chains that Are Almost Extinct
As a restaurant critic, I've been told I have an unusual fascination with restaurant chains. I love learning their stories. I love watching old restaurant chain commercials. Heck, I even love looking at old chain restaurant menus—especially from restaurants that no longer exist.
