R. Kelly is Exposed... Again... And You're Surprised?
Yesterday, Buzzfeed published a scathing new article. The subject? America's number one pervert, just edging out Bill Cosby, R&B singer R. Kelly. The piece claims that Kelly runs an abusive "cult," made up of young, barely legal girls, at his compounds in Atlanta and Chicago. The girls are under Kelly's complete control and have to ask his permission before they do anything, even use the restroom. Whenever they disobey, they are "punished" by Kelly, either verbally or physically. They are trained by a house mother, who at the ripe old age of 31, is the oldest of the group. Kelly is 50. Several of the girls' parents say they haven't seen or heard from their daughters in a year or more.

Known for hits like "So What" and "Raise Your Glass," songs which have traditionally encouraged and even celebrated the fierceness of women everywhere, if not everyone's inner party animal, Pink may have once been the last person on Earth that people would have expected to become a role model for working moms. Sure, the rock star has enough money now that she could probably hire several different nannies to look after her two young children, Willow, who's 6, and Jameson, who is around 6 months old now, but it would seem she's still a very present parent in their lives.

Stunningly Awful 'Blind' May Be Worst of the Year Candidate
In nearly 20 years as a film critic, I have seen more than my share of terrible movies. I have seen The Room without the Rifftrax commentary track. I sat all the way through The Happening with my mind reeling at the incompetence of M. Night shyamalan’s most incomprehensible work. And I have seen all the Transformers movies which should qualify me for some sort of movie critic combat pay. But in nearly 20 years I can genuinely say I have never seen anything quite like Blind.

The Bill Cosby Witch Hunt Is On
I have been a fan of Bill Cosby's work ever since I was a child in the 1980s. Cosby created Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, a cartoon based on his life as a child in Philadelphia. Fat Albert was the leader of the "Junkyard Gang," which consisted of a presumably preteen Cosby, his younger brother Russell, Rudy, and characters with unflattering nicknames like Mushmouth, Weird Harold, Dumb Donald, and Bucky.

What's Right and Wrong with the New Live-Action Death Note!
Just mere months ago, the first trailer for the new live-action Death Note movie was released onto YouTube by Netflix. Not too long after the release, we started to see a love/hate relationship with the teaser, and that's to be expected. Yes, there was some great stuff in the teaser trailer (Ryuk mostly), but there were also some things that we didn't agree with entirely. Now before we get into this list, I just wanna say that while yes, we as anime fans do have a rough history with film adaptations *COUGH* Dragon Ball *COUGH*, I actually do see potential and have hope in this live-action adaptation! So with that being said, let's get right into the list!

New Jumanji Trailer: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Jumanji is an adventure movie that first came out in 1995 and instantly became a family favorite. Actors such as Robin Williams, Bonnie Hunt, Kirsten Dunst and Johnathan Hyde carried us through a deep and fantastic story that will forever stay in our hearts. Sadly I feel that the new movie coming out in 2017 - Jumanji: Into the Jungle - will fall way short of any such effect. Although not a complete loss, the sequel fails to capture the wonder and depth that made the original a timeless classic. Emma Stone A 'Mean Girl'?
Mean Girls was quite probably one of Lindsay Lohan's best works in her very brief filmography and continues to be well-loved today. With the likes of Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Tim Meadows as the beleaguered adults in the world of teens Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried, the chemistry between the cast was hard to deny. While there was a largely forgettable attempt to reconjure the magic of that group in 2011's television movie Mean Girls 2, there continues to be a clamoring for a real sequel to the original.

Nocturnal Animals with Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal Will Definitely Keep You Awake
Nocturnal Animals, written and directed by Tom Ford, begins with a rather large, fat naked woman dancing the stripper pole as part of an upscale LA art exhibit. Unsettlingly paradoxical, the metaphor does reveal itself as the drama eventually unfolds. In other words, there’s much to wince at in waiting for this 2016 tale of love lost and revenge to play out.
