'The Suicide Squad' Panel at DC FanDome Gives Us An Idea Of What To Expect From The Upcoming Film
DC FanDome had a panel about The Suicide Squad, which, according to writer/director James Gunn, is still on track to be released on August 6, 2021. The panel began with some questions for Gunn sent in by fans. This was then followed by a trivia game between two teams consisting of the film’s cast members. Afterward, the panel concluded with a behind-the-scenes video.

Director Patty Jenkins and actors Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig (who plays Cheetah), and Pedro Pascal (who plays Maxwell Lord) were in attendance (remotely from their own individual locations, of course).

James Gunn Provides Glimpse of DC FanDome's 'The Suicide Squad' Panel
This past June, DC FanDome officially announced that the online event would include a panel for The Suicide Squad, which is helmed by Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy writer/director James Gunn. Then, earlier this August, we got a tease from Gunn himself again that the fans are going to be seeing a glimpse from his highly-anticipated sequel to 2016's Suicide Squad. The previous film was helmed by David Ayer, whose screen credits include End of Watch, Bright, Fury, and, more recently, The Tax Collector starring Shia LaBeouf, which is still playing at drive-in theaters and on video on demand. While the first film did not get the best reception, this next one is expected to breathe new life into the IP as far as the big screen is concerned. The official logo for The Suicide Squad was also showcased in multiple languages.

The Anime Expo was awesome!!
During this Pandemic, I am using my time to write my graphic novel, and since I can’t draw, I take a lot of photos and use them as references to send to my artist. While scrolling through my phone, I came across a picture of my husband and me when we went to the anime expo in 2019. I enjoy anime. I love the Content of the stories of the show or manga (Japanese comics). The characters and the design of the characters, and let us not forget the backstories on what inspired the creators. One style of anime, in particular, I not only found great ideas in storytelling I just got in is called Yaoi (it is Boy Love or guy on guy interaction) I remember getting ready to go to the event because it was my first time dressing up to go to the event. My costume was Noiz (Noise) from a Yaoi computer game/anime called Dramatical murder. FYI Dramatical murder is a science fiction and visual romance novel in which players assume the role of the protagonist named Aoba Seragaki. ( I won’t get into detail about it, if you want to know about it, just look it up on google.) Anyway, it was amazing to see so many people dressed up as their favorite characters from other anime shows. There were so many games that were being promoted, new animes in development, and gadgets. There were crowds of people going to booths of memorabilia, getting food, some people would get into character and act out a scene of the show their role was from. It was so exciting. I would take a lot of photos not just to post on social media, but to use as a reference because after we left the anime expo, I went home and got started on my Yaoi Graphic Novel.

Staying Safe at a Convention
Going to a convention? Worried about if you’ll be safe or not? Well I have some tips on how you can stay safe at a convention. Whether it be an anime, comic, or gaming convention you still need to say safe. When you're new to conventions, also known as cons, there is a lot of people in large crowds, it's a very easy way to get separated from your group. Ways you can keep safe at a con is keeping your Phone on you and charged, if you go to raves or anywhere after dark at a con take someone with you and alerting the staff. Other ways would be never going to a stranger’s hotel room and never taking open drinks or food from someone you don't know.

Cosplay Conventions Should Be All About Fun and Games.
As a long time cosplayer, I have found it extremely aggravating when people want to cause trouble and drama at conventions. I have seen way too much of it and quite frankly, I am sick of it. My friends and I are in the agreement that these conventions should be our escape from reality.

Los Angeles ComicCon After Stan Lee
It’s going to be one-year next month since the great Stan Lee passed away (November 12, 2018), and it’s been tough on the world of comics and Marvel alike. Since taking over Comikaze in 2011, Stan Lee introduced Stan Lee’s Comikaze to Los Angeles in 2012. Every year in October, the Los Angeles Convention Center has been home to Stan Lee’s Comikaze, but in 2016 the name was changed to Stan Lee’s ComicCon. After the passing of Stan Lee, Los Angeles Comic Con still grows strong and has grown its audience this past year.

A few days ago, I talked to a couple of people on Facebook and shared their photo op experiences with me. Just a heads up: one person in this article has two photo ops. So check out the two people that you're about to meet. I'll share my own photo op experiences near the end of this article.
