Encanto And Toxic Families
Disney's recent animation movies have displayed a clear pattern: away from romantic love and a turn to the love shared within a family. Starting the trend in 2013 with Frozen and a focus on the sisterly love between Elsa and Anna, Moana continued this idea in 2016 and dealt with the idea of family and legacy. 2021's Encanto is the natural outcome of the fusion of these themes all brought together in one movie.

Documentary Review: 'Beanie Mania' Comes to HBO MAX
YouTuber Jenny Nicholson, arguably that platform’s best personality, has been talking about doing a video on the Beanie Baby phenomenon for some time now. And that is, in all honesty, the only reason I subjected myself to the new HBO Max documentary Beanie Mania. I am really eager to see Jenny do a video on this unique subject and I thought having a little more background on the topic might enhance how much fun her video will be. That said, there are some fascinating elements to Beanie Mania in and of itself.

REVIEW - Spider-Man: No Way Home
Now that's how you do a fan-pleasing movie. In all honesty, Spider-Man: No Way Home is an indulgent, over-the-top, absurd cash-in of a film. It's also an absolute joy. Is it designed to be the perfect fan-service for Marvel and Spider-Man fans, which is exactly what it is. This film is tremendous fun, and is far better than it really needs to be. No Way Home could have gotten away with being a stream of classic character cameos and patented Marvel CGI-heavy fights. What we got was a film with genuine heart, intelligent storytelling and three-dimensional characters brought to life by some of our most acclaimed actors and up-and-coming stars.

As the new year gets closer and closer you've probably started thinking about your resolutions for 2022. Workout, be more patient, work harder (or less), or maybe even read more? When picking up reading as a habit for the first time or for the first time in a while, it's good to start with simpler, faster paced books. Usually this means avoiding classics as much as possible, but I don't think that has to be the case. Therefore I give you some of my tips and recommendations (as a classics lover) that'll hopefully make it easier to get into reading more classics.
