Social Media for modern lovers in the digital age.
Touched By A Stranger
She is a kind hearted soul, deeply entrenched in the vouyerism of our cyber world. Elisa spent her days much like any other. She wakes with coffee, her trusted phone, and her FaceBook app. She opens and begins to scroll. Hours pass as she love reacts to random photo posts, leaves an encouraging message for a stranger going through a tough time, leaves a snippet of what her day will be like. Never truly knowing the impact of her actions, like so many of us.

Jemma Lee Baskins
It is a Sunday night at the gym, which means it is quiet and I am bored. As I wander between the treadmills, I listen to the sounds of metal on metal, the odd bang and strained grunt. The music in the background is a low hum of shitty pop. I walk for hours, trying to find someone to talk to, walking up and down the floor in a jaded haze, but there is no one I know.

Bigger than Numbers
“Trauma. I’ve been hearing that word a lot lately. Trauma....trauma.... trauma. Almost sounds trivial when it's repeated, like a professor repeating the definition of a vocabulary term nobody’s going to remember by Thursday’s quiz. I don’t know...maybe they just like hearing themselves talk.

You're a Fake & a Phoney
I hear it all the time, "they went viral, what am I doing wrong?". Nothing darling, you are doing everything right, they are running their social media without integrity or honesty. So, when they lay their head on their pillow at night, their thoughts may be "what if my campaign manager finds out?" rather than "wow, today I made some really unique online connections!".

Lurking in the Neon
It is 3:45 in the morning, in that special West Hollywood club that keeps the dance floor open all night. Men dancing on men, girls flirting with girls, and all the straight people there just trying to score. Bros proud to pick up girls at a gay bar, girls combing the sand for boys to make out with. People looking for people, and this is the hour of desperation. Desperation or unbridled pleasure, if you’re not in the dead heat of a grind on the dance floor you’re searching for prey.

From Hearth to Hatred and Back Again
The late cattle rancher, Grateful Dead lyricist, and author of The Declaration of Independence of Cyberspace said of the internet in its early days that he envisioned the world wide web becoming the new "hearth" of the twenty-first century. Families all over the world would be gathered in front of the soft glow of their computer screens, they would be linked to others around the globe, able to share their stories and photographs resulting in a greater understanding and appreciation for one another.

Tik-Tok: the app that controls the masses. Kids like Charli D-Amelio and Addison Rae have amassed millions in their net worth over simple 59 second dancing videos. These are really good! The Silhouette Challenge has been trending and it has been trending for all the right (and naughty) reasons. The really sexy challenge involves posing in front of a doorway while Put Your Head on My Shoulder by Paul Anka plays before then turning yourself into a black silhouette against a red background to the tune of Streets by Doja Cat. In this second part the idea is to do a sexy dance move or something.
