The five big questions of happiness research
Where do the happiest people live? Economic crises, wars, violence, hunger, poverty, discrimination -because of such circumstances, it is obvious that happiness is not equally distributed around the world. As part of the "World Happiness Report," scientists have been regularly investigating people's life satisfaction for several years on behalf of the United Nations. According to the "World Happiness Report 2019," the best chances of happiness are in Finland, where people are the most satisfied overall in an international comparison of 157 countries. The inhabitants of Denmark, Norway, and Iceland are almost as happy. They are followed (in descending order) by the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, New Zealand, Canada, and Austria. Germany still manages 17th place, with Afghanistan, the Central African Republic, and South Sudan bringing up the rear on the happiness scale.

Be Honest. Do You Really Want Honesty?
Honesty is a natural behavior that toddlers, who are learning the English language, put into practice by stating random facts that are blatantly true. For example, a toddler may point at a bottle of milk and say “milk”. Afterward, they will look to the parent or person around for the approval of what they just did. This is where we learn that Fact = Truth. They either receive a happy yes or a scolded no. As a child, we do this all the time until we say something that hurts someone else. A child may look at a person’s hair and say out loud, “Mommy, her hair is black and blonde”. The child is then reprimanded by the parent. The majority of the child’s learning up until this point has been to be observant and identify what they see. So, why was this moment different? Well, the woman naturally had jet black hair and her roots were growing out. The child was just identifying that the woman had two different hair colors. The child couldn’t have known that to point out the woman’s roots would cause her to be offended. However, the child was still punished for the action that they had been taught to practice all along.

Why It's Difficult to Remember Things That Happened to Us Before the Age of 4 (Four)
They say our personalities are shaped in our childhood, but how ironic is it that we can barely remember anything from our early years? This phenomenon can be applied to almost all people and even has an official term - childhood amnesia. As we grow up, we forget the people, events, and even places we've encountered as kids.

Celebrities are Gods. Comparison plagues the world consistently. It seems as if nobody owns their own life. Everyone wants to be the next star. Deep down, within every human soul, rests a burning passion to become something more. A potential seed planted in everyone, this “selfishness” is far from wrong. However, so many of us have received false programming; the lot of humanity fails to recognize their personal strengths, instead choosing idolatry, mixed with envy, towards a fellow brother. What we fail to realize is that the only way to experience a dream come true is to willfully be the hero! Due to lack of confidence, not many stand strong enough to picture themselves fulfilling their dreams; therefore they praise someone else achieving these feats for them. A training of their mind would serve humanity tremendously.

What is all this fuss arond death?
Have you ever observed how we grieve when someone close to us dies? Can we even make sense of the situation? Death has always been the most popular topic in various religions, philosophies and spiritual beliefs. Some people believe there is life after death, some people not. İn a way, it actually makes no difference whether there is life after death or not. Whether you can regard human life the most random appearance in the dark and lifeless universe or you can regard it as the most precious and God-given gift in the vibrant and dynamic universe. Regardless if we are religious/spiritual or not, we love to grieve for the people who are very dear to us. What? “Love to grieve”? So it must mean “Grieve for Love” as well? Can Love and Death be re-categorized as one and the same? Or is Death a completely different category of our life?
