5 Ways to Practice Self-Compassion During the Holidays
Let go of expectations. A core element of self-compassion is the practice of mindfulness. Mindfulness is defined by Jon-Kabat Zinn as “paying attention, in the present moment, on purpose, with nonjudgmental awareness.”

The Importance Of Self-Care
I’ve been sick. Like really sick. And I don’t mean writers block kind of sick. I mean I’ve had lack of self-care, which led me to complete isolation from any social media platform for weeks. I know a lot of you have been curious as to when I was going to upload another blog post; and to be honest I was questioning the same thing. I’m sure some of you even thought I was done with the whole creative influencer, blogger, and “fake” occupation thing all together. And unfortunately for that population — you’re wrong. I love my current and future followers too much to quit cold turkey. But before I jump back into Who What Wear’s and NYFW Preparation Tips, I want to lay down a foundation not just for myself, but also for all of you. This foundation is all, and just about, the importance of self-care.

Finding Your Way Back to You
Who are you when you're not the girl with cancer anymore? It's so common. Everyone knows someone that has had cancer, or is suffering with it themselves, and yeah it sucks, but nobody ever warns you that after the cancer is when shit gets weird.

20 Things I've Chosen to Stop Giving a Shit About
As an anxiety-stricken millennial, I have found that the source of most of my problems is that I seem to care about all of the unimportant things. Most of which come from caring what others think about the things I maybe SHOULD care about. So I am putting it out there for you to hopefully relate to. Some of the things on this list are everyday/all the time things, while others are just happening as I'm writing right this second. Here are the things I am no longer giving my time and energy to. Let me know if you relate.

Rock Painting: A Cure for the Soul
Graham Greene (1980): "I wonder how all those who do not write, compose or paint can manage to escape the madness" Mental Health is equally important to physical well-being. A positive attitude and a general feeling of accomplishment can be just as beneficial as a healthy diet and regular exercise. While there are many guides to a healthy lifestyle, in magazines, blogs and websites, there has been a debate as to what truly benefits the mind.

Feed the Soul
Making time for yourself can be hard sometimes when you live a busy lifestyle. It can take a toll on your self-esteem mind body and soul, you time is very important and helps to clear the negative and create positive energy. I have been making time for myself to walk among the pine forest close by my home, since walking alone threw the forest, I have made an inner connection and a feeling of peace and solitude. I walk barefoot and connect with the earth beneath me soaking in the positive energy it gives. Breathing in the fresh air supplied to me from the pines is such a calming effect on the mind, it's a feeling over understanding what I need to feed my soul to feel good within my own skin. I feel completely at ease with who I am and love how nature has such a strong impact on the soul.

Are the Type of Daydreams You Have Affecting How Happy You Feel?
I have always been a daydreamer. Have you? When we daydream we unknowingly wander into such an entirely private place that it is not a subject we often discuss nor something we often think about in relation to our daily lives, but whether you consider yourself to be a prolific daydreamer or not, we all spend from a third to a half of our waking hours daydreaming, albeit often without any conscious acknowledgement that we are doing so.

Mentality Is Everything
All too often as humans we are faced with day-to-day trials that can either cause our destruction or send us to the highest peaks of our lifetime. What’s critical is to not lose sight of our own importance on this earth. Yes, we all come face to face with struggles that can lead us to drinking, drugs, sex, and anything to sterilize our thoughts of reality. We can also be too overbearing and critical of ourselves as individuals, maybe think way too highly of ourselves and take a massive blow if someone says otherwise. This can be both extremely damaging and rewarding to our relationships, personalities, communities, and so forth. Sometimes the recovery is harder than the mishap itself. We, as people, should remember that me make a imprint on each and every person we come in contact with on a daily basis. Even if it’s just a simple smile or a wave to someone you don’t know. Everything you do impacts everyone in some way or another. There needs to be a balance in everything on earth. You can think the same about your person. You need balance. Your own stability and self-worth. No one person or thing can give you these qualities. They are earned through experience and knowledge. You can’t expect a baby to be born knowing how to dress itself, or a two-year-old how to drive a car. Why place such expectations on yourself then? You try, fail, and try again to succeed. With that being said, should you find yourself not feeling your most optimistic and best self, I offer my go-to's as a vice to aid in a complete and total rejuvenating process.
