Unpopular Opinion: Not Having a Passion is OK
Have you found your passion in life? No? NO? Follow you passion! Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life! Guess what? You probably won’t find your passion. Chances are, you might not even have the world’s definition of a “passion”.

Look at the Big Picture
In life, we all go on a journey that only we may see the vision, yet it has not been made into a reality. Our minds are a beautiful gift of adventure and knowledge. It is daily that we may look where we are and feel like a failure or question if it's worth it. What is planned and followed through takes time and beating yourself down will only slow down the progress. Speak words of wisdom into each day, even if you do not feel like it. That is the start of your day in how you set the tone for the remainder of it. Ask yourself honest questions if you are giving 100 percent. Although, life is forever changing with many obstacles thrown our way to test not our ability, but the faith that you have and if you really want to fight for your goals. When you look at the big picture you see an image, the future, and how all your hard work paid off.

101 on Living a Self Care Lifestyle
Life is chaos. This is not me trying to be deep or poetic; this is me being simply real with you. The list of things we have to worry about in life could fill an entire planet (for each of us!). All the choices we have to make, the chores and errands we have to accomplish, and all the emotions that bump around in our mind makes each and every individual a hero in my eyes! Being a hero requires us to do so much for others that we sometimes forget the most important person in our lives: ourselves.

The Cursed Gift of Technology
I was sitting here tonight after my work shift watching a Miguel concert on my laptop. It was available via streaming by Yahoo Music (huge thank you to them, by the way). Right after his guitar performance, he stops to talk to his audience. Now, all concerts are usually interrupted by a musician’s generic message to “Follow your dreams;" ”Never give up;” You can do anything." Not that these aren’t all positive messages to put out into the world, but these types of speeches are diminutive and usually just a friendly reminder. Then there are some musicians who take this time to speak on something that mirrors the message or inspiration that led to their latest project. By doing this, their words seem more genuine because they’re an artist…speaking on what inspired their art. Emotions, or just a quick revelation, can fill a whole arena when an artist can connect with their audience—similar to J.Cole’s Forrest Hills Drive Tour that I attended a few weeks ago, where he spoke about love. It’s secretly the underlining message/tone of his album. He spoke about love being the inspiration for his album, how his fierce drive and even accomplishments caused him to lose sight of what was really important to him. You could tell that everyone in the arena, including myself, felt his words. Tonight, even through a computer screen, I felt Miguel’s words. Right before he jumped into his track, titled, “ABeautiful Exit” from his new album, Wild Hearts, he calls out all of his wild hearts (fans). He then talks about distractions…negative people, internal situations, but the biggest and most evident distraction may be “right in your hands right now,” he says. Cell phones, social media, television, advertising, propaganda—it’s all distraction.

Disrupted Dialogue
Should I even be sorry? I don't know. Let alone, I don't know who I am. Been told to sit down and shut up, be seen and not heard, and no one cares about what you have to say. Withheld my thoughts and feelings for far too long. No one ever would expect me to stand up for myself.

Defeat Yourself
Many of us are defeated before we’ve even begun. We’ve subconsciously placed ourselves in the losers' circle because of the habits we’ve developed over time. Everyday things that we’re doing which ultimately result in our demise. The "cheat day" for our diets that happens at least three times a week, the thing you've always wanted to do but not until you research it and decide it's too much work, or the trip we've always wanted to take but instead end up spending that money on the clothes and morning coffee instead.

Just Another Day at the Office
From a young age, we are often asked what it is we want to be when we grow up. As innocent and sometimes funny as that question might be, it is not always an easy one to answer, especially when you're not 5. Here I am, 20 years old, not in school, working my ass off to make my rent every month, and I have no idea were I'm going next. As much as it is great to plan for the future; in reality that detailed step by step plan is going to go exactly *well* to plan. That's okay. Life happens, shit happens, you fall in and out of love, and you live.

The Value of You
I know what you're thinking, another self-help article about feeling better, about being better. Wrong. I would never lecture somebody about their life, I'm just here to put in my two cents in and hopefully someone turns it into a million. How many times have you sat at home and swore to yourself that tomorrow was going to be the day? Tomorrow I'm going to do this, tomorrow I'm going to change that. I've been there, trust me I'm with you buddy. I hate to break it to you, but you might be dead tomorrow. That's not a threat, I'm just saying. How many times have you come home from a stressful day and thrown yourself directly into additional responsibilities? I'm active duty military with a wife and a two-year-old and sorry if you're reading this babe, but I'm going to say it. When I come home I give myself 20 to 30 minutes, sometimes even an hour to decompress. In that time, I am on my own, just me in my own thoughts, I do what I want and it has changed my life ever since I started the habit.

Toxic Habits That Successful People Don't Do
Perhaps one of the most uncomfortable truths about life is that sometimes, you can do every little thing perfectly and still fail. It's terrible, but life is not fair. However, in the majority of peoples' cases, the reason that they are failing at their goals doesn't really have much to do with bad luck.
