What’s your name and where are you from? ———- My name is Mashari Barnes professionally known as ASL MASH and I’m from the south side of Chicago. I grew up on the lowend part which is Bronzeville and I’ve been living over there since I was little. But I eventually had to move and I’ve been moving ever since but within illinois. Why do you love what you do? ———- Because music makes me happy, anytime I am down or in any type of mood I make or listen to music which brightens my day, also I have people messaging me saying they love my music and it inspires them, so that makes me love music even more because I see that my talent was heard by someone else and they are inspired by it. What makes you different? ———- I couldn’t point out anything that makes me different. Once I get a beat or produce one, I start to get creative with lyrics and how I sound. The key is making what you think sounds good, not off of someone else’s preference if you make something off someone’s preference it may not sound good to you at the end and who doesn’t want to listen to their own music? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? ———- I see myself being one of the biggest versatile musical artists out, I also see me helping my old street out with financing. My goal is to just be as successful as possible, and I want to keep pushing even when I feel like I’m not getting anywhere but also My goal for 2023 is to make some progress in my music career, I’ve been into music my whole life but I really started to take it serious early 2021. Meet Tae Jetz
Chicago rapper Tae Jetz is certainly from that school of hard knocks. Born as Dionte Harris, he grew up On the West Side of Chicago (Pulaski & Wilcox). The oldest of three children, Tae Jetz saw a bit of everything growing up, witnessing all kinds of violence and drug use. In spite of his rough upbringing, Tae still has a deep love for his city and would never trade Chicago for anything. He is looking to show that there is more to Chicago than the nickname “Chiraq” and the stereotypes of murder. Naai Sekar Return Review
Naai Sekar Returns Movie Review: Though Vadivelu hasn't been in action for quite a few years, his comic one-liners stand the test of time and are an essential part of youngsters’ vocabulary in Tamil Nadu. That is why when Naai Sekar, his character in this comeback film, utters a few of his popular dialogues, the Vadivelu fan within us wants us to celebrate. But then, everything ends there. Suraaj, the director of Naai Sekar Returns, makes no effort to pen an interesting screenplay and merely relies on his star’s yesteryear jokes and antics. There are some really fun moments in the second half, but they don’t help the film much.
