Today is your birthday

I am glad you were born

This world would not be the same without you

Today is your birthday

I am glad I knew you

Although I suffer

I suffer without you

Last night I was drunk

With love or with wine

I cannot tell

I was sitting alone

Going through hell

Last night, my empty apartment

Felt like a snare

Wherever you are

I want to be there

My words have no power

I make promises that then I break

I have written you letters

Without stopping to breathe

Last night I asked the skies

For your protection

I would have asked God

But God, like you, and the one before you

Does not answer

I wished upon a star

That all your wishes will come true

My dear friend

I do not know how to live without you
