War

A Poem

The only war

Is in your head

Your only heroes

Are those you’ve read

You ignore the ones that really bled

The only war

Is in yourself

Because you feel no wealth

An unloved soul

Life takes its toll

You punish us all

For your deluded call

To fronts of patriotism

And dead freedom’s call

Staring into the distance

Staring down existence

Where is the resistance
