My Anxiety, Part I
In an attempt to explain my anxiety to my husband, I searched the internet for effective ways to do this and found a lot of useless information that was more often about positive thinking than actually living with anxiety. However, I did come across a few articles written by people who suffer from anxiety on the level I do—real people with real anxiety trying to explain what it’s like to live with this type of mental illness. Yes, I say “mental illness” because anxiety is a problem in the brain, not a way of thinking. It cannot be just ignored or cured through positive thoughts, meditation, or my doctor’s favorite prescription of “diet and exercise.”

Trauma. It's a bugger. I've been through a lot in my life. Scrolling back through my life history, it reads like a crazy sad film. I've had so much loss. Mental Illness and Nostalgic Fantasies without considering the consequences. Content Warning.
Nostalgic Fantasies In today's digital age, the inundation of idiocy online is hard to ignore. It seems that people often post without considering the consequences, leading to a saturation of thoughtless content on social media platforms. This prevalence of hasty and impulsive posting has led to an alarming trend: the average social media post tends to be more thoughtless than the average user. The sheer volume of mindless content can be overwhelming, particularly on unfiltered platforms like Twitter. It's easy to become disheartened when faced with a constant stream of superficial and inconsequential posts.
