Soulstice's Kickstarter Campaign Gives You a New Way to Save the Rainforest, One Bracelet at a Time
Deforestation is destroying rainforests at a rate of more than 1.5 acres per second. If that rate remains steady, that means that 47.3 million acres of rainforest will disappear each year. The impact this destruction has on our planet is almost incomprehensible. Considering that the Amazon rainforest houses almost half of the world’s known species—many of them already endangered—as well as provides more than 20 percent of the Earth's oxygen, this level of destruction could very well wipe out thousands of species in just the next few years, and permanently alter our global ecosystem. With extinction rates rapidly expanding, and the forest rapidly disappearing, there will soon be no Amazon to visit.

Dick Pic Etiquette
“Can you believe he sent me this?” Girls will often ask, thrusting their phone in the faces of their gay friends. Most of the time it is a picture of a man’s penis. More often than not, the man sending the intimate picture has not even asked the lady on a date yet or worse they just started talking. Before you send the next dick pic, read these rules, they’ll help!

It's Not All About the Puppy Breath (Pt. 1)
"Want a dog?" my husband had asked me one day. This was not a question that I had not heard before. The only difference was that he meant now as opposed to later. We had discussed getting another one at some point but had always felt that the timing wasn't right. His work schedule took him away from home three weeks at a time and my job took me out of town three days every week. We felt that the dog would not be getting adequate care and even though we lived on the lake, our yard was not fenced in so we had no way of maintaining control. It's when you've lost control that bad things start to happen. My husband is an avid duck hunter so his dream has always been to get a hunting dog. I won't hold him back but I can't help but think that he hasn't thought this thing through. You see, I am not a hunter. I do not understand the concept between the dog, the birds, or the theory behind the combination of the two but according to my husband, this pup was coming from what people would consider a good blood-lined dog which meant that this puppy came from top-of-the-line parents and that made her a prospect of becoming a good hunting dog as well. He felt the investment would be worth it. Who was I to say no? All I was seeing was a new puppy. My husband's reasons were nothing more than a blob in the back of my head.

Whether you're channelling your inner college student or you actually are a college student, Jell-O shots can be a fun and surprisingly tasty addition to any party. Baby No. 13 & His Nurse
It was a seasonably cool Thursday in Saint Louis, Missouri. The date was October 6, 1904 and the St. Louis World's Fair is in full swing. Patrons had come from all over to enjoy such novelties as cotton candy, iced tea, peanut butter, and hot dogs. They could promenade down the pike to observe all sorts of new inventions never before fathomed.

Horror in the Orphanage
"Be generous to the poor orphans and those in need. The man to whom our Lord has been liberal ought not to be stingy. We shall one day find in Heaven as much rest and joy as we ourselves have dispensed in this life." Saint Ignatius warned Christians to take care of those kids that didn't have parents. The Nuns of St. Joseph in Burlington, Vermont did not heed his advice. Many of the orphans were separated from their siblings, forgot about their birthdays (including how old they are), and some even were given new names. The children were abused, tortured, sexually abused, and some were murdered by the nuns assigned to care for them. Skeletons that the Catholic Church have long tried to hide are tumbling out of the closet.

I Loved Every Minute of Being a Military Brat
My dad was already in the military before he met my mom. He was a jet engine mechanic, and he was stationed in Maine when he met my mom. They met at a bar called The Barking Spider. I don’t know if they immediately hit it off, but eventually I came into the picture, and my parents got married. They’ve been married for 23 years now, and let me tell you, we’ve been through a lot as a military family.

Mason Jar Cakes
This recipe is one of my favorites because it is so easy, and yet so versatile. When I moved into my new house I found a ton of brand new mason jars in the basement. My first thought was to use these cute little jars for crafting ideas. But, in all reality, I am a really unmotivated crafter. It’s one of those situations where I see a cute craft idea and try to copy it, but my end result never quite lives up to the real thing. Basically, my granddaughter, who is in kindergarten does a much better job.
