WWE Hell in a Cell Review!
48 hours ago, WWE presented the event, Hell in a Cell, from the state of California. After WWE’s opening week on Fox, and the "Fiend" Bray Wyatt having a strong showing on SummerSlam, there was a glimpse of hope that not only would Bray get a much-deserved push, but things could change in a positive direction, especially with AEW debuting on TNT this past week, too. Competition is always healthy and, in pro wrestling, I find competition to be motivating for both wrestlers and promoters alike.

On a night when the former World Heavyweight Champion Mysterio was set to challenge for his first World Championship in nearly a decade against Seth Rollins, his promo was interrupted by Brock Lesnar and his advocate, Paul Heyman.

Alphabet Soup
The WBA, WBC, IBF and the WBO or "Alphabet Soup" as the acronyms have come to be termed, would be considered the 4 major cornerstones of all the Sanctioning bodies out there, the WBA being the oldest. All are international and all have mottoes or slogans that claim or suggest they are unbiased, honest and for the fighter and the betterment of the sport of boxing.

UFC on ESPN+ 14 (AKA UFC Fight Night 156)
UFC Fight Night 156 from Uruguay was definitely a card worth looking at given the names that were on the card, and while some of those names were unrecognizable due to their "rookie" status within the UFC, there was definitely potential for a strong night.

Just when you thought Brock Lesnar's defeat to Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania was the end of the Beast, he rears his ugly head with his advocate Paul Heyman leading the charge. Brock will go down in history as quite possibly the worst champion of all time. I'm ballistic at best at the thought of him having another championship reign. I mean what is the WWE thinking and why do the powers that be think that another Lesnar title reign is the way to go?

Reason First: Ban Boxing Immediately (Part II)
This is an appeal to the head. The brain. That most sacred of bodily organs. The heart is but a glorious and glorified pump. That’s it. The cessation of all forms of boxing should go into effect immediately. With the death of the second fighter in one week, Dinamita had his life taken away from him all because of “sport.” After sustaining devastating blows to the head, the pugilist began to bleed from the nose. Hours later, he was dead. And this is what is called a sport of agility and discipline? The tally sheet of deaths by way of moving around the square ring paints a picture of just how cruel the activity can be.

Reason First: Ban Boxing Immediately
End boxing now. Non-professional, semi-pro, professional. All of it should be banned. The death of boxer Maxim Dadashev is just another example of why this brutal “sport” should be retired forever. Like the death of Johnny Owen almost four decades ago, and so many others, Dadashev suffered a brain injury that caused his death days after his fight against Subriel Matias. This vicious activity is just legalized killing in some instances. The harshness that is inherent in pugilism is a sign that our brutish nature craves the jabs, hooks, and uppercuts that strike against these figures. It’s the entertainment and business that drives the fights. Money is not the root of all evil. And the love of it certainly isn’t either. So, to blame the dollar would be an error.

A Sport That Needs to Be Clean
Professional boxing has often had the reputation of being a dirty sport. Movies like Requiem For A Heavyweight (1962) and The Harder They Fall (1956) have depicted questionable practices in the sport. They were not far off the mark. Unfortunately, some amateur boxing programs are guilty of indulging in the same practices. This should not be so.
