(Superfly) Pizza
“Pizza” That’s not the first word you’d expect a baby to utter. Clearly I wasn’t normal. I imagine most babies (as with my older and younger sisters) said something along the lines of “mummy” or “daddy”. Being raised in a household that was up the road from the local pizza shop, my parents recalled how entranced I became in the backseat of the car, each and every time we drove past it. The big illuminated neon light with the word “PIZZA” clearly had an aura or near spell-like affect on me.

Sweet Treats Without the Guilt
What do you do when a group gathers to eat and enjoy, but each has a different food allergy? At a recent birthday gathering, the birthday child couldn’t eat gluten, the mother couldn’t have dairy, and another relative couldn’t have nuts. What’s the solution, besides giving out bottles of water?

Chinese Cooking Challenge- Day 1
Day 1 has gone well. At around half past three we had an internal debate with ourselves; “can’t we start tomorrow instead”. We would be able to put off going to the shop for an extra day, we were so close to caving in but yesterday I promised you Singapore noodles and we didn’t want to let you down. So, we put on our shoes and trudged to the shop.

2 Good Indian Buffets in South Jersey
Not that I'm a fan of buffets, but I stumbled across one one day that left me quite a pleasant surprise. I knew I liked curry but I didn't know all the different ways I would like it, and this place proved to me that I could have it any way I want. Not getting beside myself, but the way these curry-like dishes tasted left me speechless. There were so many different flavors like tomato, coconut vegetable, and creamy spinach. Best of all, they had them right next to each other with their native names out front so you know what to look for when you go back or elsewhere. No, best of all was the price. You could get all this for less than $14 at the lunch hour with the drink included. Desserts were a taste too but I'm not a huge fan of pudding. I did go for the milk and cheese balls dipped in syrup at Palace of Asia in Maple Shade though. It's called Gulab Jamun, and it tasted heavenly. The first restaurant I was referring to is Coriander, located in Voorhees, New Jersey. Both menus of these places complement each other and are worth checking out.

Mali Thai in Glen Burnie
Nestled in the heart of town square in Glen Burnie, MD, Mali Thai brings some of the best and most authentic Thai cuisine to this suburb of Baltimore. Over the last year, the business has grown thanks to very enthusiastic word of mouth, including rave reviews on Yelp and other social media sites. Featuring well-loved, mainstream favorites such as Pad Thai, as well as “home recipe” specialties such as Kha Moo pork braised in five Thai spices, the menu at Mali Thai has impressed more and more denizens of this Maryland town over the last year since its opening.

Hawaiian Opihi – The Deadliest Delicacy
“Try it, Mickey – you will like it!” If you have an opportunity to taste Opihi, do not turn it down. Opihi, known as the “Deadliest Delicacy” in Hawaii, is a “superfood,” chock full of iodine, fat-free and delicious. An edible shellfish, Opihi (Cellana exarata) of the limpet species of marine gastropod mollusks found growing attached to rocks where the ocean meets the shore, is a rare treat either eaten raw with salt or seaweed or cooked over a driftwood fire on the grill and garnished with butter and lemon. Others prefer opihi slurped fresh from the shell, wiggly tentacles and all, garnished with a dash of Tabasco. Opihi is also scrumptiously pickled, seasoned with soy and ginger.

Pandemic Donuts: Every Cloud has a Sprinkled Lining. Third Place in Pay It Forward Challenge.
Cast your mind back. It's March 2020. The US has only just begun to see the effects of COVID-19 hit its shores. The more cautious have started to self-isolate. The government is a patchwork of conflicting information. On St Patricks Day, the bars and restaurants of Denver are still full of blissfully ignorant revelers. The following week, the penny drops, and shutters close like dominoes along South Broadway, Tennyson, Larimer, and 16th Street.
