If You Didn't Know Superman Was a Progressive Illegal Immigrant All Along, You Weren't Paying Attention
Let’s get one thing out of the way right now: Superman is an illegal immigrant. Not in the Roswell autopsy sense, but in the "crashed his spaceship in Kansas without a visa" sense. He didn't wait at the border. He didn’t fill out the paperwork. Ma and Pa Kent didn’t stand in line at the Smallville Department of Extraterrestrial Naturalization. Nope. Baby Kal-El skipped customs, took refuge in a cornfield, and has been living that undocumented life ever since.

Stronger Than a Buller, Softer Than a Heartbeat
In July 2025, James Gunn, acclaimed for his work on Disney’s Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, embraced a narrative path that many superhero and comic book storytellers have previously shied away from. He portrays him not merely as an alien or the last son of Krypton with god-like powers, but as a profoundly human character shaped by his outsider identity, his alienness, his otherness, and his difference. This time, his cape doesn't conceal his true nature.

Los Angeles Comic Con
There are comic book conventions all over the country at all times of the year. I get to attend a lot of them and after some extensive attendance I am proud to say that I do have a favorite. Now all conventions have their merits, some are smaller and easier to navigate. The larger ones offer plenty of new things to get excited about, and San Diego Comic Con is legendary for a reason. But the best convention, the one I look forward to every year is Los Angeles Comic Con.

Why I Think Eleven Will Die in Stranger Things Final Season
I have this awful, choking feeling in my chest that I can’t shake. Every time I rewatch Stranger Things, especially those scenes where Eleven looks so fragile, so human despite all her powers, I feel it stronger. Like I already know how it ends. Like I've already grieved it before it happens.
