ILoveKickboxing
As a person who has struggled with weight gain and weight loss since a young age, it is easy to relate to many other women and men out there. At first, trying the usual dieting or basic exercise wasn’t helping. Then experiencing the miracle of life added to the weight gain. As the years passed the depression began to set in as most people experience. The ILoveKickboxing community came into my life about two years ago. It began to change everything.

Bodybuilding Mount Rushmore
Growing up I was always self conscious about my body, I've always been a pretty skinny and short guy. I had also always been a part of sports in some fashion both during school and after school. However, my body just never wants to grow and hold onto muscle mass. Anyways, that got me obsessed with bodybuilding when I was barely a teenager. Hoping one day with enough hard work I could come even relatively close to these guys. I spent years studying the sport and learning about bodybuilding. Absorbing all I could about these men, praying I could look like them. That part of my life is now over, but I still have great admiration for what these men have put their bodies through, let's pay our respects and take a look at my bodybuilding Mount Rushmore.

Why "Resistance Quest"?
I named this brand back in 2014. I racked my brain thinking of a cool word or phrase that did not exist anywhere else. After a good amount of whiteboarding, mid-sleep scribbles, and Google searches to make sure "I really made it up," I settled on Resistance Quest.

A New Me
I have lost weight before. 50 lbs. I went to karate every day of the week. I only ate lean chicken breasts. I took care of my body and drank a lot of water. This was 5 years ago. This was when I was finding out who I really was. I wanted to test my body to the limit, and I wanted to experience everything new. That new me, landed me my hubby today. 4 years of being together, and alas we are blissfully happy. But with happiness also comes… body fat. Research has proven this.

Despite Adversity
Like many of us in the first month of a new year, I made new year’s resolutions. Like many of us, a portion of that centered on my health and wellness. But how do we maintain these commitments to ourselves when we face difficultit’s such as COVID, especially after injury leaves us unable to use vital parts of our body.

Damp 2021
If my prescribed drugs would allow me to imbibe, I’d have a double Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey every day of this first month of the new year. That doesn’t mean my mouth (or year, for that matter) will be dry, it’s just that the “damp” will be from my sweat, not my choice of beverage! Our family gifted ourselves a high-end stationary bicycle for Christmas. I’ve already charted a schedule to ride at least a half an hour, six days each week.
