Inspirational and healthy ways to lose weight.
My Battle With Obesity
Hello my name is Jesus and I am 26 years old. For as long as I can remember I have always been "BIG". My weight has fluctuated but I've never been skinny. My heaviest weight was 600+ (I am also not quite sure the exact number ... once I saw the scale went past 600 I jumped off and refused to go back on). After battling for about 2 years with my obesity (and my mind) I am now down at 504. Every day is a struggle but one I try to convince myself that I must win in order to stay alive for my family. I am currently meeting with a trainer and have begun a IG and twitter @Deletingobesity , to try and inspire others to lose weight and ultimately delete their obesity. Although the struggle is hard and tedious I am embracing every step of the way because I know that someone out there is watching me and is in need of the support and Inspiration I've gotten from my trainer. One of my biggest inspiration is my new born daughter EllaGrace. Every time I look into those big beautiful brown eyes I find purpose… I find a reason why! She needs her daddy, and to be quite frank, I need her. What I have noticed has worked for me so far on my journey is working out early in the morning. What I began to do was wake up as early as I could get up and take myself to the gym. Even if I only worked out for 10 minutes on the stair master it was a win for me to get out of bed at 4:30 AM and head to the gym. I knew I did not have to wake up until 8 to get to work on time. I remember many days I would wake up and cry because I’d rather sleep than go to the gym and sweat and go through the joint pains in my knee.. BUT I still pushed myself through the tears while driving to the gym to finally get inside and begin my workout. I began to notice that making my body push through a weight training circuit and being sore all day made me think before picking up food that I should not. Another thing that helped me (as obvious as this is) was meal prepping! I noticed that when I meal prepped I snacked less on things that I shouldn’t have. I began with just meal prepping breakfast, then slowly began meal prepping both my breakfast and lunch, until I finally began doing all my meals and snacks. It was definitely a tedious task to do because I would get hungry while cooking the food but I would force myself not to eat the food and drink TONS of water. That leaks into my last point …. WATER!!!!! Water consumption will help with your cravings and those false hunger pains we all deal with. Now my goal every day was to drink at least a gallon of water. Some days I did not get there and some days I did. Through that process I began to notice bodily functions began to become normal again. My joints did not hurt as much, I was not as hungry after my meals and my skin began to clear up. I say all this in hopes that I can help someone out there who is on their journey to deleting obesity as well. I hope this helps someone out there who is also looking to delete their obesity! TOGETHER we can defeat obesity!

Weight Loss
My weight has always been a problem for me. I was always the "fat" friend. My weight never affected the way I lived until I got to high school because I started a new school without any of my friends. During my freshman year I found my group of friends but again, I was still the "fat" friend. I was confident in myself but knew my weight held me back from my full potential. I wouldn't post full body pictures because I did not want people to see what I looked like. I also only ever wore leggings and baggy shirts to hide my stomach. I knew I wanted to lose weight but didn't know where to start. I didn't have money for the gym or to buy better foods. All of my friends would eat whatever they wanted and did not gain any weight. "Why can't I be like that?" I constantly thought to myself. Toward the end of my freshman year, I started to look into different fad diets but I was too picky of an eater to do any of them–then, I found the apple and carrots diet. It consisted of just those two things–for three days all I ate was apples and carrots and was drinking water to keep myself full because I was practically starving myself.

What the Doctors Didn't Tell Me About Weight Loss Surgery
Making the decision to have weight loss surgery was not an easy one. It took years for me to make the final decision, and with it came a lot of research. Many people believe weight loss surgery to be “the easy way” and that couldn’t be farthest from the truth. It has been more work than any other diet plan I ever tried, however, it is the one with the best results. I will say, this isn’t the right choice for everyone, however, it was for me, and I will never regret it.

I Want to Live!
“Make sure I wake up.” That was the last thing I said when I was laying on the operating table getting ready for surgery. The anesthesiologist was about to put the mask on my face and put me to sleep, and all I could think about was ensuring I would be alive come the end of the day. I was terrified of the surgery, but I was even more terrified of what my life would be if I didn’t get it.
