How NOT to Encourage Your Friends to Lose Weight
Many people are fighting to lose weight, and there has never been a stronger market for those of us trying to slim down and get healthy. No one will argue that a strong support system is important to your health goals, but let’s be honest, sometimes friends can go about things the wrong way when it comes to encouraging better choices. Here are three things you really shouldn’t do to your friends who are struggling on their health journey.

Trying to Lose Weight in 2018
We live in a superficial world, we all know that; a world divided in two categories: beautiful or not. We’re fighting each other to know who’s the sexiest, who’s the one who’s going to win everybody’s heart. We’re inventing dumb challenges. We fix the bar so high that boys, if you do not have a six pack, you’re nothing and girls, if you can’t hold a pen under your boob, you’re never going to be sexy.

Just Checking In—Resolution Journey
So I just got home from my parents'. I was there for the whole weekend for the second time this year. Of course, as many know, that when you are at your parents, the snacks are endless and the food is better than in your own fridge, and so that was a challenge. Although this is true, I held it together this morning and only had a healthy cereal with no sugar, apple juice (not the healthiest), but I am proud to say, since home this evening, I have drank nothing but black coffee and water. This was hard, considering black coffee is nasty, but I feel like a disaster and a half without caffeine in my system; a lot of it.

HealthyWage Will Pay Me $1,174 to Lose Weight-Care to Join?
I saw an ad for HealthyWage on my Facebook feed. I’m a writer and editor by trade, and I’m always reading health and fitness articles in the hopes that I’ll somehow magically absorb willpower from the words. Since switching to a full-time job chained to a desk, I’ve gained 60 pounds. The gain was over a pretty short period of time, and the weight didn’t seem to be going anywhere soon. The following piece tracks my epic journey with HW. It’s been truly life changing.

Dieting — Going it Alone
Recently my colleagues at work started going to "fat club" (as they refer to it). I refuse to pay money to go and be weighed on a weekly basis when I have a perfectly good set of scales in my bathroom. I know, I know, you're all going to tell me it's about the support from others who are doing the same thing but for me, that won't work. I know how my mind thinks and I will just get frustrated with myself if I don't lose but the person next to me does.
