Are You the One ?
I love this world and all the people in it.Many of us lead busy and I think we may have gotten so busy trying to get ahead , working on our goals, and making sure that we are OK with all that is going on, that it becomes easy to say that we do not have the time. The only way that each of us, individually, will be well is that if all of us are well, collectively. There are symptoms of the need all around us.The symptoms are seen in our families, in the lives of friends and also our neighbors. So many from all walks of life are being engulfed by anxiety, poverty, brokenness and now a health crisis. We as a society actually care about one another and are concerned with the rising number of people that are in need. We just have to be mindful that the solution involves genuinely take time with one another in a more tangible way.

What is Your 2021 Power Word?
2020 has been a beast! Full of disease, death, isolation, stress, and many more events that made us all want to hide under the covers for days. So do we hide, or do we stand up strong to finish out the rest of the year? I personally want to put 2020 behind me and push on to 2021. While looking back on the unfortunate events sprinkled throughout 2020, I felt as if I wanted to carry a word with power into the new year to motivate myself to stay strong.

Being Strong Doesn't Require Breaking in Silence
Walking in the doors of Target for the first time since the pandemic began should have been reason enough for joy — the kind of joy that involves dancing through the aisles in song. Instead, I walked through the store wearing my mask and thinking, Something is very wrong with me. On the heels of that thought came another: and no one even notices.

Loved Up Flower Girl
As women, we have this crazy idea that we must sacrifice ourselves for everyone else! Let me be the first to say that YES as women we play so many roles in life however, we were not put on this planet to completely exhaust ourselves to the point of destruction. There is almost this unspoken truth in today’s society that if (as a woman) you put yourself first then you are being selfish… That could not be farther from the truth!

The Path I take
The journey to obesity wasn’t a hard one. It came from depression, it came from a dark place inside, where a small child wanted to hide. I wanted so desperately to not be seen or heard that I hid with the only thing I knew I could control. Food. I would eat snack cakes, crackers, chips, and anything I could, all while beating myself up for doing it. I hated myself for every bite I took, but at the same time, those bites would comfort a part inside of me that needed attention. The part of me that was starving for love, for acceptance, so starved that I comforted that need with food.

Self-Care, Not Self-Sabotage What Is Self-Sabotage?
Here we are going to talk about the sworn enemy of self-care; self-sabotage. It isn’t that easy to see what is getting us down, preventing us from reaching goals, or even preventing the desire to achieve. We all have areas of our life that are 80% good most of the time. For instance, some of us are comfortable with our work and friendships but don’t really have a dating life. For others, we are really good with friendships and relationships but are afraid to make big moves to start our own business. Self-Sabotage is universal, because everyone has areas of their life they prevent themselves from improving.

Your Life Is About to Have a Dramatic Change
When we think about radical changes in our lives, we always imagine something either very sad or overly positive. Like something broken in our body, losing someone we care about, or winning the lottery and going to live forever on a wonderful tropical beach.

Day One: Does it count if I took a nap?
Today was the official start of my 30 day challenge. I awoke at 6:30 AM and surprisingly really enjoyed it. It was still dark outside and my heavy eyes begged for the opportunity for five more minutes. However, I'm the boss of my own body and I wanted to get up at 6:30 AM so that's what I did and began my day.

Your potential
The brink and birth of a new declaration of victory in life's calamities is the moment life can begin again. The disappointments, the anger, the failures, the set backs, the uncertainties, the short comings and the unanswered prayers. Life in a series, counts as the endlessness of our hearts desires and inclinations. Reality, is our test.

NO MORE
Far too long... I’ve put others’ needs, wants and desires above my own. I’ve given my all without expecting in return. How long should I have put up with them treating me the way they did? Wanting to speak up about the mistreatment, afraid to be labelled a victim so I keep a smile on my face & praying the pain away. When I do speak up, my feelings aren’t taken as seriously as I would’ve taken theirs.
