It’s All a Matter of Perspective
Perception, like possession, is nine-tenths of the law—three simple questions to help you reframe your thinking. I was talking with my sister-in-law about the power of perception, and the fact that our perception quite simply becomes our reality. We all believe that we live in a real world, a world that is based in reality, and yet the reality is that we all live in a world of perception, of perspectives, each of them different. Mine, yours, your family's, the perspectives of person next to you, the perspectives of the person you work with. All of us have a slightly different perspective. Our perception of what is going on becomes our reality. Perception, like possession, is nine-tenths of the law. If we perceive it to be true, it will be true. It quite simply becomes our reality. Having learnt this, I have been able to use a very simple technique to help me to change my perception, and in changing my perception, changing my reality, and that is what I want to share with you.

The Struggle of Worthiness
Laying down on my yoga mat at the end of my exercise class, we spend five minutes meditating and reflecting. A phrase they share often is "You deserve this moment of peace." This is meant to be a soothing finish to a difficult workout, but it often derails me. Each time my mind starts to wander.

Self-Care, What's in the Name?
In the times of self-care trending on our social media accounts, taking time to care for oneself has become a thing to do. Memes of champagne-sipping, bubble bath-taking celebrities somehow have become synonymous with self-caring. Of course, I know some delve deeper than the aesthetic of self-caring. So, let’s explore that.

When is the Turning Point?
Where do I begin? February of 2018 is where everything started to change. Throughout the years I slowly began to lose who I was. Every birthday that came around, I would question where my life was going. I wasn't happy in the relationship I was in and my future seemed rocky. I knew I had so much more to offer, but my purpose wasn't clear. I began to doubt everything I was doing; was this was a mid life crisis? I'm not sure, but what I did know is I was slowly destroying myself by putting other people before myself. I was sending myself to rock bottom—I knew I was doing it but I didn't know how to fix it. I felt trapped. And just when I needed it, life threw me a few curve balls to help open my eyes.

How to Become the Best Version of Yourself
Some will, some won't, so what? Who's next? To become the best version of yourself, it starts with not allowing things that are out of your control to have any effect on your mood or mental health. The quote "some will, some won't, so what? Who's next?" is usually motivation for people who sell to others for a living.

Self Care
I know that self care is something that I have neglected a lot over my life. It has been something that I had fit in, in spits and spurts, when I found the time between everything else. (Sound familiar?) And generally, it had not been holistic. I would rotate through a focus on the body—food and exercise—then on the mindset and then the spirit, but generally not a bit of all, all together.

24
There are 24 hours in a day. There are 24 hours in a day, and yet, I haven’t blogged in months. #SorryNotSorry In all honesty, life has gotten the best of me lately. I have a new best friend who goes by the name, “Anxiety,” and after being stood up twice in the past week, men and career failures have really got me feeling down.
