self help
Self help, because you are your greatest asset.
You Aren’t Alone
The first question you should always ask yourself. Do you love yourself? Why? You may ask. I’ve been told once “how can you love someone when you don’t love yourself?”—as for me I felt insulted at first but never really took what was said to me seriously. It actually hurt to hear that from someone I loved. Yet, loving them more than I loved myself at the time is where one of my battles surfaced.

The Best Version of Myself
Just like a wound that heals itself, so will you. In our weakness, there is strength. The same strength that endured the pain for us to be born. In my tears, there is happiness. There will be a time to cry and there will be a time to laugh. My tears won’t be a sign of weakness but, an expression of hope, loss, joy and sadness.

Five (Real) Self-Care Tips
Depression is real. For those of us who struggle with it, it's not something we can just get over. We can't just force a smile and feel better. We can't just cheer up. I hate when someone tells me, "It's going to be okay" or "Just stay positive." It's not that simple, and it's not something you can truly understand unless you experience it for yourself.

Who Says I'm Not Good Enough? Part 2
When I sat down to write part 2 of this series I’ve created, exploring the “not good enough” mantra I’ve struggled with most of my life, I was surprised to see how big it quickly grew. This post ballooned up to over 2000 words before I knew it, and the more I wrote, the more I thought of to write. (As a result, I’ve split it into even more segments, to keep it the size of a nice, easy read.)

The universe we live in is really freaking big... I want you to imagine for a moment just how big it is... No, really, take a moment here to just take in how enormously big the universe really is...

Life Choices
You only get one life to live. I believe it's important to become the best version of yourself. No one is perfect but you should want to try to be a good person. I have been having a hard time lately trying to find this version of myself. My journey has been a long road but I refuse to give up.

The Power of Positivity
I’ve always been the type of person to see the bright side of things. As a child I grew up in a home where I basically had to raise myself. This taught me a lot about life. One of the most important things that I’ve learned is that; No matter how bad the situation may seem, it can always get worse. As cliche as it sounds, this mentality saved me a lot of trouble. I’ve learned that the time we spend complaining and worrying about what could happen next, could be better spent on things that actually matter and are happening now. I’ve observed people from all walks of life put so much energy into things that can’t be prevented. Things that can’t be changed.

Why You’re Stuck
Now let me specify here who I’m talking about. To some degree, everybody gets a bit lost in their life and hopefully manages to find their way back. But here, here I am talking about the late teens/twenty somethings working part-time, no quite sure what they want to do with their lives and floating about from one job to the next getting enough money that month to pay a bill, rent to the parents, and a bit of spare money for drinking and having fun.
