The 3 Ls that keep us away from all types of success
If we take some time to think about why we are at our current position in life, we can immediately see that every bit of our downfall, every setback, and every one of our shortcomings have three specific contributors to them. As I go over those contributors, it’s important to know that first and foremost success comes in all forms. You have your financial success, personal goal success, life goal success, success in our relationships with people, basically anytime we found ourselves achieving exactly what we strived for in order to experience this little and almost impossible thing to find called happiness, we identify this as a form of success. However, success doesn’t comes easy, in fact most of us go through the majority of our lives only achieving a small amount of what we desire, while a few percentage of the world’s population are able to obtain most our their desires. So what makes the individual who gain success so special from everyone else? Actually the real question is what are the rest of us doing or not doing that makes us different from those who are living their best life right now? Whether they have obtain financial freedom, found themselves in the right career making a difference in society, or are currently in the most loving, true, and long lasting relationship with someone they are head over heels in love with, the individual who are successful had obviously done something right with their time on this earth while most of us are looking at their wonderful life from a distance where we wish we could be just like those people. While there are so many ways to achieve success, what I find very hilarious is how we find ourselves struggling just to find one that really works. When we look back in our lives, those of us who are still wondering where we went wrong in life, I guarantee you that we will find that there are always three common factors that kept us from having every desire we strive to achieve. For those of us who still haven’t figure them out yet, here are the three common factors or as I like to called them the 3 Ls that keep us in the losing position in life.

Hustle, Drive, & Get Money
Here I am sitting at home during this Covid-19 shit storm. The storm that has taken everyone by surprise. I think all of us were either planning a wedding, getting that promotion we always wanted, or working a 9-5 . Hey some of us were getting our degree or planning to go back to school. I was one of those people; wanting to further my education. *Silently as while typing*. This whole experience has been life changing which has forced my back against the wall. I realized I won't be a young adult forever and things have to change. People in my life have to change as well during the improvement transition phrase. By my surprise they didn't which had me licking my wounds silently in a corner, but thanks to support system I was able to slowly get over it emotionally. This has truly taken its toll.

Time Is Precious
We often use the term "I Spent" when paying for something we want but in reality, Money is circulated not really spent so we can always get more money while on the other hand, Time is spent. When something is spent, you will not be getting it back. So, how you spend your time is very, very important. We often allow ourselves to become so busy until our time passes without us having ever enjoyed a moment of it. When a loved one passes away I often hear family and friends say "I wish I had spent more time with them" or "I wish I had taken time for them". Time has a way of really getting away from you if your GOLDEN MOMENTS are not treasured. Time is something you should watch like you watch your money or other valuable items. It is your one most valuable commodity and you should use it well. Unlike money, once your time is gone, It's really gone...

Living Through History
What you learn while living through history Be flexible. The way you are living now is not guaranteed. In fact, it’s almost promised to crumble. Promised that the easy times will go. It is when you are comfortable that things fall. After Summer is Fall. Once the sun goes down, it’s cold. Winter is coming. If you can’t handle change, you can’t handle life. You will be left behind. Don’t ever get left behind!

Emotion’s Purpose
This is a long one so don’t read until you have the time and and an open mind. . . . If I haven’t told you personally, I’ll say it here: Ever since I was little, I would get this random bouts of knowledge from seemingly nowhere. My skin vibrates and it feels like I’m floating. Then my mind starts to race with random knowledge on subjects I know nothing about. I used to just ignore it but I’ve gotten to a point where I write it all down in hopes that it will help me to better progress through life, which it has.

A Letter To My Younger Self
In honor of Pride Month, I decided to write a letter to my younger self. I knew that I liked boys, dating back to the first grade. My now estranged parents never knew of this and I hid my sexuality until I was in my early 20s. They were conservative and from an African country called Liberia. If I had came out to them at seven years old, they would’ve disowned me anyway, harmed me, put me through conversion therapy, or all of the above. When I came out of the closet at 24, I still hid it from them until I finally told them in an open letter I’ve written here on Vocal about a month ago.

Five Reasons Why Introspection Should Be Part of Your Daily Routine
"We cannot live in a world that is interpreted for us by others. An interpreted world is not hope. Part of the terror is to take back our own listening. To use our own voice. To see our own light.” -Hildegard of Bingen

Now That You Have Had The Time, What Have You Done With It?
I am one of the man SAG-AFTRA performers who is currently unemployed due to Covid19. On March 12th, I was working as a dancer on a show called, “The Other Two”. Our Choreographer was trying to get more energy out of us, so she cheered, “Dance like this is your LAST JOB!”. We had just found out that Broadway would be shutting down for a month. We had no idea that the curtain would also be closing on the Film and Television Industry as well.
